AD&D 1st edition[]
The xorn first appeared in the Monster Manual (1977).
AD&D 2nd edition[]
The xorn was updated for 2nd Edition in the Monstrous Compendium Volume 2 (1989) and reprinted in the Monstrous Manual (1993).
D&D 3rd edition[]
The xorn was included in the Monster Manual for both 3rd Edition and 3.5. In both editions, they had the Outsider creature type with the extraplanar and earth subtypes.
D&D 4th edition[]
The xorn was included the 4th edition Monster Manual 2 (2009), where they had the elemental origin and the magical beast subtype.
D&D 5th edition[]
The xorn returned for 5th Edition in the Monster Manual (2014).
