Wrath devils are soul harvesters of the Nine Hells who prey on those dominated by erratic urges and burning anger. They worked their evil by goading their targets into succumbing to rage and acting on impulse, ensuring they are consumed by it and ripe for damnation by the end of their violent deeds.[1]

Personality[]

Wrath devils are devious and insightful. They have a talent for escalating violence and moving mortals to mad fury.[1]

Abilities[]

Self-control weakens and anger grows when wrath devils are near. They can psychically compel anger in those close to them, driving them to hate and attack those near and far, after which they are that much more easily manipulated and struggle not to hit anything in reach. Otherwise, they can fight with their claws and evade attack, burning those who attempt to strike them before teleporting the assailant or themselves away.[1]

Combat[]

Wrath devils prefer to stay out of melee, instead inciting violence from a position of seeming innocuousness. Even as brutality happens around them they act uninvolved, pretending to mind their own business as they turn people against each other. Once their quarry are rendered unconscious in the battle, they gracefully stand, take them up, and bring them to their master with a wicked, lopsided grin.[1]

Society[]

Wrath devils are similar to the imps tasked with gathering mortal souls for infernal masters, the duty for which they wander the mortal world. In the Nine Hells they used bearded devils as bodyguards, while in the mortal world they kept succubi (as well as duergar) as companions.[1]

Wrath devils speak Supernal.[1]
