White puddings are dangerous oozes native to frozen climates. Their coloration causes them to very closely resemble ice and snow, giving them excellent camouflage. They prey on anything that is near them -- even the small microbes that live in ice are enough to keep a small white pudding alive. They dissolve organic matter with astonishing speed, but cannot affect metal.
