The Illithiad is a book by S. Wakeman on the mind flayers. It is widely considered the quintessential book on its topic.

Wakeman supplied a copy of this book to the Arcane Order. Another copy appeared in the personal library of the archmage Kerleth.

This book is a direct reference to D&D sourcebook Monstrous Arcana: The Illithiad (1998), an AD&D 2nd edition lore book on the mind flayer.
