GA2 Swamplight is a 36-page adventure module for Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd edition released in March 1993. It is for characters of levels 7 to 9.

Official synopsis[]

The city of Chala, nestled banks of the Leal river, has prospered for generations. But now the city faces misfortune, pestilence, and decay, because the icon which brought it prosperity has been stolen. All the clues suggest that the sacred object was carried into the heart of nearby Blackweed Swamp. But who, or what, would commit such a crime? Whoever is responsible, the statue must be recovered, at any cost. Are heroes who can face the horrors of the swamp and reclaim the precious statue? Are they clever enough to unravel a scheme far more sinister than simple theft? Or will they, like others before them, be lured into the clutches of some terrible evil inhabiting the gloomy marsh and disappear forever?

Background and plot[]

In the city of Chala, a grand statue of the revered deity Tefnut is stolen. The prime suspects are lizard men from the swamps to the south. Unknown to the people of Chala, the theft is a ploy by a rakshasa, who wants to claim the area for his own and seeks to have the humans and the lizard men destroy each other.

The book was written by Jean Rabe. Art was provided by Jennell Jaquays and Terry Dykstra.

Release[]

Swamplight was released by TSR in March 1993 for $6.95 US, $8.50 CA, £4.50.

On April 15, 2014, it was re-released in digital format. It is currently available on DriveThruRPG and Dungeon Masters Guild for $4.99.
