Reception and influence[edit | edit source]
The Starter Set won the Golden Geek awards for Game of the Year and Best Supplement in 2014. It also won "Gold" in two categories in the 2015 ENnie Awards: Best Production Values and Best Family Game.[1]
Two subsequent introductory products were released for D&D 5th edition: the Essentials Kit and the Stranger Things Dungeons & Dragons Starter Set.
