The Dungeons & Dragons Starter Set, released in 2014, was the first official product for Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition.

The Starter Set includes the adventure Lost Mine of Phandelver.

Development

Reception and influence

The Starter Set won the Golden Geek awards for Game of the Year and Best Supplement in 2014. It also won "Gold" in two categories in the 2015 ENnie Awards: Best Production Values and Best Family Game.[1]

Two subsequent introductory products were released for D&D 5th edition: the Essentials Kit and the Stranger Things Dungeons & Dragons Starter Set.
