Rob Heinsoo is a game designer. Heinsoo was the lead designer for Dungeons & Dragons 4th edition . After leaving Wizards of the Coast in 2009 , he co-created the 13th Age role-playing game with Jonathan Tweet . Heinsoo is also a contributor to the long-running amateur press association Alarums and Excursions .
