Ock'n

Ock'n are small, half-inch long snails that secrete a useful trail of slime. The slime hardens into a lightweight stone-like resin after a few moments, making it useful for repairing broken equipment, or making stone tools. The slime is used to seal leaks, waterproof materials, and to mummify the dead, among other uses. It weighs 1/4 of the weight of stone, but saves as stone items do. The ock'n produces 1/8 fluid ounce of this ooze each day.

The shell of the ock'n is also occasionally used in jewelry.

Ock'n live in loose, odd-numbered colonies, often domesticated. Should an even number be confined, one will be killed by the others.
