Obsidian devils are hellforged devils, with jagged, spiky forms that act as police of the Nine Hells.[1]

Description[]

Obsidian devils resemble blocky, angular humanoids with long, powerful arms. They are made wholly of black, sharp-ridged obsidian, and are usually covered in the torn up remains of their previous victims.[1]

Personality[]

Obsidian devils are brutal even by infernal standards, living only to tear enemies to pieces with little concern for who the enemy is. They are content to attack any target their superiors designate, and are not particularly intelligent.[1]

Abilities[]

Obsidian devils are mighty and resist both heat and cold. Upon grappling an enemy they can grind their spikes in a vicious bear hug.[1]

Combat[]

Obsidian devils crush captives against their sharp edges, and are normally deployed in large groups where they overwhelm the foe with sheer numbers.[1]

Society[]

Obsidian devils serve primarily in a law-keeping role. They are dispatched in squads to bring in miscreant devils and mortals who break a deal, turn against their infernal masters, or otherwise break one of Hell's laws.[1]

The Duke of Hell Aurandeus, creator of the hellforged devils, usually uses obsidian devils to enforce his edicts.[2]
