The book was written by Wolfgang Baur, Jennifer Clarke-Wilkes, Michael Donais, David Eckelberry, Rich Redman, Mike Selinker and Teeuwynn Woodruff. Art was provided by Dennis Cramer, David Day, Jeff Easley and Wayne Reynolds.

Release[]

Masters of the Wild was released by Wizards of the Coast in February 2002 for $19.95 US, or $27.95 Canadian.[1]

On January 13, 2015, it was re-released in digital format. It is currently available on DriveThruRPG and Dungeon Masters Guild for $7.99.

As of 2023, Masters of the Wild: A Guidebook to Barbarians, Druids, and Rangers reached the rank of Electrum seller on DriveThruRPG.
