Release[]
Al-Qadim: Land of Fate was released by TSR in 1992 for $20.00 US, $24.00 Canadian, oer Ā£11.99 UK.
On July 29, 2014, it was re-released in digital format. It is currently available on DriveThruRPG and Dungeon Masters Guild for $9.99.
Reception and influence[]
Sales[]
Land of Fate sold relatively poorly for a campaign setting product, selling only 28,273 copies between 1992 and 1996. It sold 22,776 copies in 1992, 990 copies in 1993, 2,925 copies in 1994, 900 copies in 1995, 682 copies in 1996, and no copies in subsequent years.[1] It is speculated that the marketing and title of the book did not sufficiently convey to buyers that this was the core campaign setting product and not an optional accessory, especially when Al Qadim: Arabian Adventures{{UnknownBook}} was released in the same year.[2]
Critical reception[]
As of 2023, Al-Qadim: Land of Fate reached the rank of Platinum seller on DriveThruRPG.
