Debuted in the Player's Handbook as a magic-user spell.

Level: 1 School: Alteration
Components: V, S, M (one grasshopper's leg for each leap, broken when the leap is made)
Range: Touch Casting Time: 1 segment
Duration: Special Saving Throw: None
Target: Creature touched

The target can leap up to 30' forward (with an arc of about 2'/10' travelled), or 10' backward or straight upward. The spell does not assure a safe landing. Every 3 levels of the caster, they grant 1 more leap, all of which must be completed within 1 turn of the spell's casting.
