Frush O'Sugill is a human 14th-level fighter who appears in G1-3 Against the Giants (1981), in a list of original tournament characters.[1].

Frush is exceptionally strong and tough, and well equipped with exceptionally magically enhanced equipment, including plate mail, a shield, a battle axe and a powerful spear.

History records little else is known about Frush, not even their gender.

Creative origins[]

Gygax named tournament characters in this module after entries in entries in a dictionary of obscure words, Poplollies and Bellibones: A Celebration of Lost Words. "Frush" means "to crush, strike or break", from the Latin frustum, "fragment". "Suggill" means "to beat black and blue; to defame".[2][3]
