Fighter's Challenge II

HHQ2 Fighter's Challenge II is a 32-page adventure module for Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd edition released in April 1994. It is a one-on-one adventure for a single warrior class character of levels 4 to 6.

Official synopsis[]

The kingdom of Tramilar was once a powerful state. Now, disease and dissent have left the kingdom weak. The Dreadwoods on the kingdom's northern border are a haunt for evil creatures and plots. Discord stalks the very halls of the king. Only the bravest and most dedicated warrior could overcome the obstacles hidden in the forest and lurking in the throne room.
"Fighter's Challenge II" is a special ONE-ON-ONE&tm; ADVANCED DUNGEONS & DRAGONS® adventure designed for a DUNGEON MASTER&tm;and one player—perfect for very small groups, for those times when the whole group can't get together, or for the player who wants his or her character to earn some extra experience while playing the role of a knight errant.

Backstory[]

Twenty years ago, the Kingdom of Tramilar was laid low by a plague called the Great Pox. Now, much of the former kingdom is overrun by goblins other monsters as the kingdom slowly rebuilds.

Plot[]

The player character finds themself undertaking various small quests, including exploring a tower, encountering a goblin encampment, and rescuing the princess Ariella.

The book was written by Drew Bittner. Art was provided by Valerie Valusek and Eric Olson.

It is the fifth of eight entries the One-on-One adventure series. It does not officially use the HHQ designation as module code prefixes were dropped by this book's release, but it is unofficially referred to as HHQ5.

Fighter's Challenge II was released by TSR in April 1994 for $6.95 US, $8.50 Canadian, or £4.50 UK.

On July 17, 2013, it was re-released in digital format. It is currently available on DriveThruRPG and Dungeon Masters Guild for $4.99.
