The Fables of Burdock is a fictional book appearing in Dungeons & Dragons.
The Fables are best known for the tale of Heward's Mystical Organ, a massive artifact crafted by the god Heward to bring beauty, harmony and wonder to the world through music. But mice gnawed at the workings, creating discordant notes and creating the power of dark song used by harpies and sirens.
Heward punished the mice by making their voice forever meek. He abandoned the broken Organ, and took up the harp instead.[1]
