- Over sixty Norse gods are named in D&D canon, including Loki's wife Sigyn and Thor's sons Modi and Magni.
- At least fifty deadly swords of sharpness appear in official Dungeons & Dragons products. Most are longswords, but some are greatswords, shortswords, knives, and even axes.
- Mind flayers reproduce in a process called ceremorphosis, where an illithid tadpole enters the ear of a humanoid victim, consumes their brain and takes over their body.
