The touched creature emanates no scent for the duration of the spell. Thus, the creature cannot be tracked by scent (such as with a bloodhound). The spell can be used to negate the effects of scent-based attacks (such as a skunk's spray or a troglodyte's stench), but when cast on a resisting creature, they are allowed a saving throw vs. spell to negate the effects.
