Create Water[edit | edit source]

Debuted in Men & Magic, for the cleric. Anti-clerics can use the spell as well. Supplement 3: Eldtritch Wizardry allows druids to use the spell as well, though at a lower level.

  • Spell Level 4 (cleric, anti-cleric) or 2 (druid)

Creates enough drinkable water to last 12 people and 12 horses one full day. The amount created doubles for every level about 8th of the caster.

Creates enough food for 12 people for one day. For every level above 8th that the cleric attains, the amount of food doubles.

Debuted in the Player's Handbook as a spell for clerics and druids.

Cleric[edit | edit source]

Level: 1 School: Alteration
Components: V, S, M (a drop of water | a pinch of dust)
Range: 1" Casting Time: 1 round
Duration: Permanent Saving Throw: None
Area: Up to 27 cubic feet.

Creates 4 gallons of clean, drinkable water (like rainwater) in the area per caster level. The water can be created in an area as small as will actually contain it (such as jugs and barrels) or up to one cubic yard. The water cannot be created inside a living being. The water will last until it is used, it evaporates, etc.

DM's Advice: It is not possible to create water inside a living creature.

Reversed[edit | edit source]

The reverse destroyes up to 4 gallons of water per caster level, leaving no trace (no vapor, mist, fog, or steam) behind.

Druid[edit | edit source]

Level: 2 School: Alteration
Components: V, S
Range: 1" Casting Time: 1 turn
Duration: Permanent Saving Throw: None
Effect: 1 cubic foot/level of water

Creates the indicated volume of water at up to the indicated range. The water is pure and drinkable. Druids cannot use the reverse of this spell.

DM's Advice: It is not possible to create water inside a living creature.

Causes food and water to appear in the area. Each cubic foot of food and water sustains 3 human-sized creatures or 1 horse-sized creature for one full day.
