For the purposes of this wiki, creatures are primarily categorized by their types as given in D&D 5th edition. If the creature does not exist in a 5th edition source, the infobox will attempt to intelligently discern the type from earlier editions. If it cannot, editors should use the infobox field type_special to insert an inferred 5e type based on best guess.
