Amazons have made a few appearances in D&D, typically as the archetypal warrior-women based loosely on Greek legend. They have been depicted largely as outsiders to the typical campaign world (presumed to be the male-dominated pseudo-European medieval stereotype), and thus often under-estimated.
Generally speaking, D&D Amazons are skilled warriors, even if they hail from a spellcasting tradition, and are adept with mounts. Their equipment tends to be a little primitive in comparison to the above typical campaign world, made of bronze and evocative of ancient Greece.
The Complete Fighter's Handbook presented a kit for amazon warriors.

Non-Human Amazon Warriors
The Complete Fighter's Handbook discusses non-human takes on Amazon society.
It imagines elves and half-elves as not very different from the human Amazon societies.
Dwarf Amazons replace the usual required weapon proficiencies and limited specialization with the Axe and Hammer, and replacing the horse mount with a swine.
Gnome Amazons replace usual required weapon proficiencies and limited specialization with the Throwing Axe and Shortsword, and replace the usual bonus proficiencies with Tracking and Survival.
