Al-Qadim: Arabian Adventures is a 158-page sourcebook for Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd edition released in 1992.

Official synopsis[]

Magic carpets, ghoulish vixens, genies rising from the sand in a whirlwind of smoke and fire - such wonders, spun into tales by fabled Scheherasade, enchanted a king for a thousand and one nights.

The Al-Qadim campaign will enchant role-players for a thousand and one more.

You are about to discover an exotic realm inspired by the tales of Sinbad, Ali Baba, and other classics from the Arabian Nights. The first in a series of products, this volume features everything DM's and players need to launch the Al-Qadim campaign.

The book was written by Jeff Grubb and Andria Hayday. Art was provided by Jeff Easley and Karl Waller.

Release[]

Al-Qadim: Arabian Adventures was released by TSR in 1992 for $18.00 US, or $21.50 Canadian, or £11.99 UK.

On February 11, 2014, it was re-released in digital format. It is currently available on DriveThruRPG and Dungeon Masters Guild for $4.99.

Arabian Adventures sold 45,164 copies between 1992 and 1998. It sold 31,607 copies in 1992, 4,925 copies in 1993, 4,974 copies in 1994, 2,940 copies in 1995, 383 copies in 1996, 59 copies in 1997, and 276 copies in 1998.[1]

Critical reception[]

As of 2023, Al-Qadim: Arabian Adventures reached the rank of Platinum seller on DriveThruRPG.
